You can never be too sure about safety on the internet

Being on the internet nowadays can be rather bewildering.  In some ways, things have gotten easier, but in other ways, things have become even more complicated.  Right now, I’m thinking about passwords in particular.  I can remember a time when I only had a few passwords to keep track of, mostly just email and instant messaging, I think.  Today things are rather more complicated. For instance, I need to keep track of my Amazon password.  I didn’t even have something like that all those years ago.  Back then, on line shopping was more of a promised future thing, and even when it began to be more commonplace, I didn’t jump on it right away.  I was worried about security, and I feared that my sensitive personal information might end up getting stolen by hackers and such.  But now I use Amazon for purchases because I gave in to the convenience and variety.Just the other day, I was thinking about the need to change MSN password already.  That’s another thing I worry about now.  It isn’t enough to have a strong password so that other people can’t easily guess it and access my accounts.  Now, I’ve been told that I need to change my passwords on a regular basis, for added security.  So with all the accounts I have now, I’m rather daunted by the possibility that I may have to go through each one, in order to give each a different key.  Really sounds like quite a lot of work.  I wish there was some way to automate it, but I haven’t found a way to do so, so far.  Or maybe I should just not change my passwords so frequently, but then I’m afraid that that may leave me more vulnerable.
