Reverse Phone Searches – Why pay for them when there are free Sites?

February 13th, 2010 by admin

Reverse phone number searches become a necessity when you are genuinely worried about the personal security because of the increased number of hung up calls or prank calls. There are many other personal reasons that prompt a person to do reverse telephone numbers lookup. The following are a few examples,

*You are doing a routine check up of your phone bill and find out an unknown number in the call list and you want to know more about that number.

*An unknown unlisted number keeps on appearing on your caller ID and you are curious who that could be. Is it an old friend whose number I forgot or is it from yet another telemarketer?

*After 15 years, you want the contact information of your son’s pediatrician and business number to acquire medical records of the past.

*You want to reconnect with a long lost friend and need to verify the address.

These are some of the reasons to look up a phone number, among many others.

If you were never aware of the possibility to use a reverse phone check and the idea is some thing new to you, the step-by –step explanation will help you with better understanding of how to use it.

Step One-Make note of the unrecognized phone number you need to look up, complete with the area code. The search can not return you any results, if the area code is not included.

Step Two- Find a good reverse phone number finder service. If you do not have any recommendations, simply search for it in a popular search engine with the keywords “reverse phone check”. The top 5 results matching your search should be good to use.

Step Three- In the search window, enter the phone number you want to look up. Be sure to follow the instructions given by the site to enter the numbers. For instance, it might want you to enter the number with no hyphens or spaces.

Step Four- Press the enter button and wait for the results. It should not take you more than a moment for the result to be displayed. If the number you are looking up is a land line number, the reverse phone number trace will provide you with the

• Full name of the owner of the number

• Complete current address • Location – that is, city and state • Phone type – whether it is a wired line or mobile phone • Map and directions to the address • Phone carrier details

But the search can not provide you any results, if the number you are looking up is a cell number or an unlisted number. Some sites could yield very basic information like the location of the cell phone provider for the number, which may not be useful for you.
